Maybe you just got a promotion, maybe your starter car just drove its last mile, or maybe you decided to just go for it because you deserve something better; whatever the reason, now may be the time to upgrade your ride from the base level to the next level. Buick or GMC offers tons of reasons to spring for the higher trim level, and Rivertown Buick GMC is here with the details.
It’s hard to improve on perfection, but Buick makes it easy with Avenir, the crème-de-la-crème of trim levels for both the Buick LaCrosse sedan and the Enclave SUV. Likewise, GMC offers the legendary Denali line, a brass-ring level trim covering its complete lineup of SUVs and trucks.
For Buick, Avenir represents its signature style and tireless dedication to everything on the top shelf. In both the LaCrosse (pictured below) and Enclave, that means the best gets even better. Drivers get a helping hand from standard features like the heated steering wheel, built-in navigation system, heads-up display, and advanced driver-assistive technologies, like Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert. Passengers will appreciate comfort upgrades in the Avenir, like heated front seats, an expansive panoramic moon roof, and an automatic sunshade for the rear window. Plus, everyone will enjoy listening to immaculate sound on the Bose® premium Centerpoint® surround system.
Under the hood, the Lacrosse Avenir also sees an upgrade in powertrain. The standard LaCrosse comes with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, but the LaCrosse Avenir uses a capable 3.6-liter V6 mated with a superior 9-speed transmission and dual-outlet exhaust.
Inside and out, Buick Avenir models include subtle yet distinct style upgrades. Heads will turn noticing the unique upper and lower grilles, wheels, and front door badging on the outside. On the inside, you will cherish the exclusive Chestnut and Ebony interior color that pops with luxurious seat stitching and piping. You’ll also notice the Avenir embroidered head rests (pictured below) and floor mats, bold Avenir script sill plates on all four doors, premium film decor accents, and a steering wheel made of real mahogany wood.
Named after the highest mountain peak in North America, Denali represents the apex of prominence for GMC. The Denali trim level is offered for every GMC SUV and truck. In the SUVs, that means the addition of a hands-free power programmable liftgate in the rear, which is perfect for drivers with limited overhead clearance, like inside a garage, because you can program the liftgate to open to a certain height. Passengers in a Denali will appreciate the spectacular sound experience from a Bose® Centerpoint® surround sound system, which uses AudioPilot® noise compensation technology to automatically adapt volume level to ambient noise levels in the cabin. You’ll also benefit from other tech upgrades like a built-in navigation system, wireless phone charger, and remote vehicle start capability.
In addition, all of the GMC SUVs benefit from power boosts when upgraded to the Denali trim. The entry-level GMC Terrain grows from a 1.5-liter turbo to a 2.0-liter turbo, seeing a noticeable increase from 170 horsepower to 252. You’ll see an even greater jump in the mid-size Acadia SUV, which grows from a four-cylinder to a six-cylinder engine, gaining a substantial output increase from 193 horsepower to 310. And the big boy, the GMC Yukon’s (pictured below) EcoTec3 V8 engine jumps from a 5.3- to a 6.2-liter, gaining considerable power in both horsepower (355 to 420) and torque (383 to 460).
